Beyond the boardroom, my firm commitment to our community runs deep. As a volunteer tutor for several years at various community and church locations, my passion for education knows no bounds. I’ve made it my mission to support parents with their concerns and champion adult education initiatives, ensuring that every member of our community has the resources they need to thrive.

While my husband of 35 years was a dedicated principal, we formed a family of educators. While actively supporting his educational journey, I seized every opportunity to connect with more students through extracurricular activities. Whether providing mentorship or fostering morale among students and parents alike, our family’s commitment to education runs deep.

In our district, the journey from a Head Start program to earning a Ph.D. is not just a dream—it’s a reality. I am committed to ensuring that every student has access to the same opportunities for success. That’s why I’m dedicated to expanding dual enrollment programs, providing students with the chance to earn college credits while still in high school.
